Everything you’ll need to polish aluminum

This is the basic stuff you’ll need for a “number 7 finish”. (mirror shine) You don’t need to use air tools. I just use em cause they’re smaller and lighter than electric. You will spend more money on on quality air tools but they are so much easier to use. If you wanted to go the cheaper route, then go with a GMC grinder. (available at Home Depot or Lowes) They are about 35 to 45 dollars. Just remember, electric grinders usually are load speed. They are alittle bit harder to hang onto or stop if you snag something. In order to put the polishing wheels on, you will need to remove the dust gaurd. The polishing wheels can be anywhere from 8 bucks to 28 a piece. The jewelers is anywhere from 8 to 26 dollars depending on the brand. Most importantly, always wear a filtered mask. Dust masks won’t cut it. You will be polishing aluminum and you don’t want that building up in your lungs. When I started, I polished for about 3 years before i got a resperator. I coughed all the time. Even woke myself up coughing. I went to the doctor and had X-rays done on my lungs. He thought I had been smoking for 20 years. (no joke) Its a very dirty job. If you are breathing without a filtered mask you WILL get that stuff in your lungs, so be safe! Cheers!
