how can i spray paint over shiny gas tank of a motorcycle. so it looks like chrome still,with a tint?

i have left the top sanded all the way to a 1500 sand paper. want a color tint but over the chrome look. i have not put any polish on it at all.

Is this bare steel?
I gotta know the base first.

So go get chrome paint. Most parts stores have it in different colors. Just take a chrome piece, spray paint it when translucent color, and you’re done.

If you had bothered to call around, or simply searched for it, you would have found it….
