I know that super resin polish is designed to remove contamination etc. from paintwork but can it be used on plastic trim? Specifically body coloured bumpers? I was thinking of using it to try and remove some paint from another car.

People are telling me that because of the Asetone in it that it can, Is this true. I have a peace of plastic that i need to bend. but if i force it its going to crack, Will this work. Just wondering before i buy a crap load of nail polish remover to sock in the plastic.

There are different types of nail varnish remover. SOME contain acetone [not asetone]. Only some plastics are affected by acetone, others, in particular thermosetting plastcs are not.

a] whether the nail varnish contains acetone as many modern ones do not
b] what sort of plastic it is

I recently polished / waxed my vehicle and I forgot to cover the porous black plastic around the bumper and under neath the doors. Well, once it dried, it left a whitish residue and I am having trouble cleaning it. Anyone know how to clean the residue off?
