l know someone who …
l know someone who owns a Smart Car.
At about 70,000 miles the head-gasket blew, and she had a HUGE bill! The Smart thing to do appears to be don’t touch it with someone else’s long pole!
The bumper polish seems a good bet,and at least it’s easy to get and not ridiculously costly!Simple Green-sounds a painfull experience you had there! We don’t have Simple Green here.

The Smart Car is …
The Smart Car is rear engine, as are many sports cars, like Porsches. Anyway, I’ve heard lots of people recommend Novus plastic polish, but it’s expensive and you can’t find it in stores. This looks like a good alternative, but you have to be careful to not use something like Armor-All which would make a greasy mess. I also learned the hard way that high-strength cleaners like Simple Green will take off painted-on logos and decals!

Looks great!
Here in the states we call bumpers bumpers. Fenders are the sections that are around the wheels. We call the back part where you put junk the “trunk”, and the engine is usually under the “hood” in front, unless it’s a rear engine car, in which case we’re screwed.
