Try using Brasso and a soft cotton cloth. This should remove minor scratches. Also, make certain the problem is not on the inside of the cover.

The only way I have found to get them like new again is to wet sand them with 1500 grit sandpaper and then buff them with a buffer using rubbing compound.

If the discoloration is only on the outside, parts stores sell a cleaner with sponges and sandpaper that when the directions are correctly followed, works very well. They use an optical cleaner.

go to napa and get a kit for this it around 20 bucks it work’s great i have used this kit on 2 of my cars and on a lot of costumer cars
