How do you get car polish off of plastic moulding?

I waxed my car the other day and thought I was careful not to get it on the plastic but more and more keeps showing up. Is there anything that will get it off? It looks terrible.

Soap and water is good

dish.soap.and.water
and.scrub.with.a.toothbrush

then.use.a.trim.protectant
such.as.meguiars.
natural.shine.protectant

and.for.future.use
its.best.to.tape.off.the.trim.pieces
or.use.a.protectant.beforehand
