@MsBixy Basically, yes. Unless you have arms like Popeye, a mouse sander will make this so much easier on the rougher grit sandpaper. You still need to hand-sand the 800+ grit stuff, or it will leave swirl marks.

@qwertyqaz110 The process is the same, you just have to sand it down more. If the rim is so gouged that you can’t sand the scratch out, then you could use something like metal filler to just make it even, and then go form there. It might have a slight color where the filler is, but when the car’s rolling, you probably couldn’t tell.

Thank god for people like you. I just spent 45 minutes looking for a video to refinish my old scratched up alloy rims, and all I could find was with cameras showing how much of a poser they are by putting before and after pictures of rims in a video with obnoxious music. Great video man.
