if they are just surface scratches then buffing the faceplate with a clear furniture polish or Armor All will take the scratches out.

but if the scratches are deep then you will need to go to a jeweler and replace the faceplate.

You might also try polishing it with a tiny bit of toothpaste. There is a very mild abrasive in the paste and it might smooth the edges of the scratches enough.

An artist who worked in Lucite told me he used toothpaste to remove minor scratches in the material.

It is called a crystal. Use toothpaste and your thumb. Toothpaste has very fine abrasives in it and polish. If the scratches are not too deep you can get alot of them out.

Do it on clear acrylic windows. If it is really deep, replace the crystal. Watchmaker.
