job you need to sand it before you dont show the pices to close but i see it im in the polishing business for the last 11 years this is only a kit for you guys to sell + it need to buff at 3000 rpm pftttttttttttt

how did you get the brown compound off the side of ths head? and what compound would i use in order to polish aluminum i have white brown and black? thanks

Why would you sand …
Why would you sand a machined aluminum piece before polishing or buffing? The Tripoli compound and spiral wheel levels the surface very nicely. Buffing can be done with motors turning as slow as 1800rpm, in fact they reduce the frictional heat conduction into the part. I assume you were referring to the cast iron water neck when you stated “need to sand before” and that is true but I wanted to show what a little effort will produce. Our instruction book describes the leveling or “sanding” steps

The brown compund …
The brown compund is removed from the surface using our Pre cleaner or lacquer thinner. The compounds you should be using on aluminum are the brown (Tripoli) as the fist step and then the white (White Rouge) as the final coloring step
