I need a bowl to bake a cake in and the only thing I own that could possibly be oven safe is my mixer bowl that came with my Kitchen Aid Artisan mixer. I was just wondering if anyone has the same bowl and has tried it. Also, if someone just knows off hand that you shouldn’t bake in polished stainless steel, I would like to know that also. Thanks!
Borrow a pan from a neighbor or run to the store and buy one. I wouldn’t try the mixer bowl for a couple of reasons. 1. It’s going to be hard to get the cake done without the edges burning because the bowl is so deep. 2. You might end up warping the bowl because they are not to be used in the oven and you’d have to replace the bowl which would cost a lot more than going and buying a pan.
