I have heard that kitchen oil (any kind, really) can be used to polish stainless steel sinks. I used Barkeeper's Friend on it and it looks nicer, but I would like to polish it also. How does this work? I remember polishing it with the grain of the sink, but I assume I would have to rinse off the oil, or do I just use very little? How does this work?
I would use a food grade silicone spray. Oil leaves a sticky film that attrcks and holds dirt. Silicone does not.
