I alwayes use a lacqure clear… even on the enamel paint.. just make sure your emamel top coat has had time to dry all the way..

yeah, what kinda clear coat did you use/ b/c i have tried a few and they all get ruined with gas. the first time i painted mine it looke great with duplicolor crystal clear, untill a weak later and i got a drop of gas on it. so i bought a few others and tested them (not on my bike) and they have the same effect. any suggestions?

Oh, correct! I never use the krylon primer.. Only ppg or other automotive primers and you don’t want to use the krylon plastic paint… It dries alittle on the foggy side..also be very careful when cleaning plastic parts such as fenders etc.. If you use any thinner products do not allow it to soak into the plastic are your history! Contamenates the plastic and your first coat will never dry all the way through….

No negative conotation on your paint job what so ever, but I will not advise anyone to use krylon!!!!! I’m all about rattle can’s, but the Krylon primer has ruined many paint jobs of mine by coming out of the nozzle in clumps and making me start all over with sanding. Can after can of primer before I realized it was the paint, not just a fluke can. Gloss comes out ok though.
