using this method …
using this method you would just want to put the weight as close to the center of the rim as possible. you will probably never notice the difference unless you race or ride at high speeds, even then it’s doubtful. most computer balancers will be able to detect where the heavy spot is and tell you which side and how much weight to add.

I have heard that you should give a slow spin to the tire a few times & let it settle…each time marking the heavy spot to see if it is always the same spot.

Good video. Would it be better to put half of the total weight required onto each side of the rim? That way there’s no dynamic imbalance.
