I am 16 and am a sophmore in High School. What are the steps I must take?
Have drive, determination, integrity and money always helps. You didn’t state where you are…..that would help. Find out where these types of shops are in your town, state, etc. Speak with the owner…don’t talk to any current wrenches (mechanics) Tell him you are wanting to get in on the ground floor of building bikes.
Understand there will be a lot of floor sweeping, trash dumping and thankless jobs to do first. This is a test to see how willing you are and how much hard work you can accomplish.

passion and for the loving of bikes only works , you well make it only if you really love it for ur self not for the money

Find a shop.
Walk in and ask to see the owner.
Tell him, "I want to learn and I’ll do any job you give me in exchange for being taught how to build bikes."
Do the jobs no matter how unpleasant and show you are willing to "HACK IT" otherwise he will decide he doesn’t want to waste his time on you.
